If I find a good garage I normally keep it to myself . Otherwise they won t be available when I need them. I m going to make an exception here. Founded in the 60’s by Me Vernon Chris’ father this establishment is top of their field. Chris is a first rate mechanic and motor technician. It’s a husband and wife team. To be honest if you want to talk cars speak to Chris. If you want assistance booking, settling up or with the paperwork Janine is your woman. They are not the cheapest on price but they are the best value for money in town. I tried the big boys at the dealership once. Never again. After spending a fortune on what seemed like a simple job I had to have the RAC out who noted a potential catastrophic failure when a mounting bolt hadn’t been tightened up causing a failure of the suspension arm whilst on the move. I stress this was a dealership NOT Timperley motors. With Timperley motors they will never recommend work that doesn’t need doing. Top notch, no nonsense service and all with quality parts. No broken promises or hidden costs. I m not old but I am old school. I like traditional service at an affordable price with quality assured. At Timperley motors “service provider” is a by word. I ve been a customer for almost 30 years since Mr Vernon was front of house. Never been let down or disappointed . If you forced me to make a criticism at gunpoint , I d say you have to book ahead. Like any good craftsmen they are not available at short notice. There’s nothing not to like about this family business who have been serving the motoring community in Manchester since my father passed his test.
