It's very hard to find a new garage to take your vehicle to and start trusting but in the case of Hillards I have found a gem! Right from the first phone call to ask some questions then book my car in they were so helpful, explained everything put me really at ease. From Rob on reception to the lovely mechanic Geoff, I cannot praise them enough. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone young or old for good old fashion customer service, great communication, fair pricing and making me feel like a valued customer. This is the first time I have used this garage, but I will certainly have no hesitation in using it again, as and when the need arises. Very professional experience from start to finish. The car was in for an MOT and required a few bits doing to it, but Rob the gentleman in charge, explained very clearly what was needed, and the costs involved. The work was finished on time and to budget, and I drove away happy. A first class experience all round, one which I can highly recommend.

What a fantastic experience, my first visit to this establishment but certainly won't be my last. I left it until the last minute to book my MOT, but that was no trouble for these guys, got it in the date and time I wanted no hassle. Arrived at the garage early I was dealt with straight away even made me a coffee. A real traditional friendly garage everyone was pleasant and helpful, from John the technician to Rob the workshop manager. It was so nice to see that Dick the owner operator was also fully hands on and very friendly. My car needed a few more jobs than I expected but that was no trouble, they even leant me a courtesy car whilst mine was being fixed. The work needed was done very quickly at a reasonable cost and I was back in my own vehicle within just a few hours. CAN'T ASK BETTER THAN THAT. If you are a petrol head like me talk to Dick and see his magnificent trophy collection from all his racing exploits. Will I be coming back? Daft question of course I will and I will be telling all my family and friends about the great service. A proper garage without all the frills that you end up paying for anyway, with good honest people and highly skilled technicians. These guys have no bias so whether you have a Beetle or a Bentley give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

Prompt telephone response, polite and ( very important) clearly spoken. Everything explained with clarity and, once again with politeness both before and after the M O T. It is very important for a lady driver not to feel patronised in the mostly masculine world of cars and garages. Not only Rob (front of house) but the mechanics are friendly, always with a smile and a greeting. How sad that I have to comment that this is very unusual in my personal experience. Rob and the rest of the staff deserve congratulations. I did mention that Rob should be teaching receptionist skills.

Have used this garage for four years for servicing, repairs & purchase of a 2nd car! All staff courteous, willing and helpful! Very reasonably priced and work completed efficiently and on time. We won't go anywhere else!

Used for years, always had great service from Dick Hillard Motor Services. New chap on front desk Rob is a real gem, very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Technician Geoff showed me issue with my car so i could see for myself which had i not been here before would be a real reassurance that this is an honest garage. Top Marks as always

Everyone at the garage are friendly, polite and welcoming. I took my car for M.O.T. at 8.30 and received a phone call at 10.00 to say it was ready to collect. When i collected my car everything was explained about the M.O.T in detail to me. Excellent service. I would recommend this garage.

Frendly team offering great customer service, price not the cheapest, but a garage you trust and carry out work when they say.

My visit today started with a polite, friendly and confident greeting from Rob on reception, who had previously explained the work to be carried out following an MOT. The work was done in a very acceptable time and a phone call alerted me to collect the car. Rob explained the Invoice in detail, which I found to be quite reasonable and reinforced my feeling of trust.
