A previous garage attempted to cure a serious overheating problem, spent much time but decided it to be serious Head Gasket work, but would not tackle the job on an ageing V6 1999 engine. They apologised, charged me half price and suggested scrapping the car. I then took it to ARC Motors, told Tony that I suspected Head Gasket. Awhile later, I was told that H/C was okay ..... Radiator was blocked (my fault earlier) and a new one fitted. Now improved but still a leak. A complex rubber hose was found to leak under pressure, but unable to locate a spare due to age and rarity of the car. l located a secondhand unit for £32 at a breakers yard specialising in ROVERS, .... ARC fitted it and now running sweetly.
