I can only bestow the highest accolades upon this garage. Having only used Jaguar or a local garage in Suffolk to maintain my car from new I was a little apprehensive when it required urgent attention whilst on holiday. I was totally delighted with the result. As well as attending to the fault, they also MOT and serviced the vehicle. It feels like a new car.
Following emergency repair (RAC recovery) on 01/05/09 I decided to have a major service at the same garage. Booked it in with comments on brakes, gave more details on the morning (early drop-off at 07:30 is great) had a van for the day (different and good fun) and received update during the day. Arrived back to find all done, car valeted to within an inch of its life (wife very pleased) brakes fixed, full service conducted and squeaks rectified (anti-roll bar 'D' bushes) more effectively and with considerably less bother than the Skoda dealership had suggested. Very happy with cost (such as one can be parting with cash) and I am of the opinion that the first impression I had from the emergency repair job they conducted was justified. Excellent service, nice people and you get to see the damage and have an education at the same time.
I broke down on my way to work, all of the traction had gone, no power. Called the RAC who gave me the options to go home, go to a garage etc. The RAC guy said that they had an approved garage not far away who they would recommend so, as it was just around the corner and the Skoda franchise I would normally have referred them to was about 20 miles away and I would need a car to get to work, I accepted. Great garage, looked busy and had a good vibe. They gave me a car, rang me with updates and found just the part that was required rather than replace the whole unit and I was back on the road that afternoon. Fault traced to 'aux. belt pulley clutch on alternator' - which is why I had a shredded belt and no power! Rather than ordering (and me paying for) a whole new unit - replaced pulley not alternator and the belt and that was it.
Excellent service fitted me in at last second very reasonably priced and very helpful. Overall excellent service, thanks very much.
