It holds a taller gear on the rise and gets past a lorry without a story. Spot on.

I noticed it on the way to my mother's, of all the tests. The long drag no longer needs a plan, the cruise is lazier, and I was less tired at her door, which she actually remarked on. Around town it is cleaner off the mark without lunging at the lights. I did the trip back in the wet and it stayed calm. Absolutely buzzing. I had wanted easier, not a different personality, and the car is still itself. It just does the hill without the family going quiet.
Overtakes are shorter and the box hunts less. That is the gain I actually use.
They did a Golf for me, then a Tiguan, and this Tayron-sized family car, a Kodiaq, went to the same ramp. I have stopped comparing garages. The hill by the school is short but steep, and it used to feel flat with the children and the bags in. It pulls up it cleanly now. We watched the fuel economy for a full month of the usual miles and it is slightly up, which mattered more to us than the headline power. My wife thought it was a bit eager in the wet, so we went back. They softened the low-speed delivery, showed her the difference on a loop of the estate, and rang the following Friday to ask how the school runs had been. That is the aftersale support that keeps us taking the next car there.
There is a fuller step from forty to seventy, which is where the BMW spends its life. Less planning, more going. Well pleased.
Tidy. Real pull in it.
EGR faults had the Volkswagen rough when warm and hopeless when the gradient arrived, a stumble and then nothing. Fixed, it is even and willing. The hill by the estate is one gear, overtakes are shorter, and I am not hunting for ratios on the B-road. Dead chuffed. The idle is clean in the morning, which my neighbour would have mentioned if it were not, and has not. A month on, the car is less tiring. I notice that at home, not in a spreadsheet.
Free coffee, freshly made, and they waved the jug again before I had finished. Then the Audi made the drive home the best part. Delighted.
Another car, same garage. The 3008 pulls up hills without the old hesitation, and the fuel economy has ticked the right way. They emailed to see if I wanted anything looked at again.
I had the previous Ranger done here and booked this one in on the way home from the dealer. The hill up to the farm with the trailer on is the bit that used to have it working far too hard. It pulls now, right to the top, and the gearbox is calmer. When I am running empty the fuel economy is the best this shape of truck has given me. After the first towing day I rang to ask if the figures I was seeing were normal. They talked it through, then invited me back so they could see a pull for themselves. Nothing needed changing, but they still made the time. That aftersale support is why I did not even price the job anywhere else.
DPF limp mode had struck on the same hill three weeks running. They got a regeneration to run to the end. It has not limped since, and that climb is a steady pull. Couldn't be happier.
The first drive told me enough. Earlier torque, no downchange on the usual hill, and a throttle that meets you instead of thinking about it. Absolutely buzzing.
Amazing job on the BMW. It pulls the trailer up the lane that used to finish it, with something left at the top, and on its own it feels lighter. The throttle in town is civil. I was explicit that I did not want a harsh daily, and I did not get one. Fuel on the unladen motorway is slightly better. Bowled over. The before and after were honest, and the hill agreed the same afternoon. I would not shop around next time. There is not a next time I need to invent.
Amazing job on the Ford. Loaded, it keeps its pace on the hill. Empty, it cruises. I have already told two people. Smashing.
I do a lot of miles with a full boot. Fewer downchanges on the hills, and a steady run seems to sip a little less. Made up.
The EGR issue had it stumbling, then flat on the hill I do twice a day. Both habits are gone. Smooth, willing, and I am proper pleased.
An AdBlue countdown and a DPF light had the Audi on a short leash, threatening a no-start and then limping on the hill. I was buying bottles as if they were weekly shopping. Both cleared. It pulls the ring-road rise, a top-up is rare, and the cruise needs less foot. Couldn't be happier. A clear dash for weeks, and I have stopped the morning inspection. The car is trustworthy again. I had been planning journeys around the warnings, which is a miserable way to own anything.
I have taken two cars there and both have been right. This one pulls up the hill and the fuel economy has not gone backwards. A follow-up call settled the only question I had.
A DPF fault plus an AdBlue countdown had it threatening not to start some mornings. Both are solved. It pulls the ring-road hill and sips AdBlue at a normal rate. Fair made up.
The DPF had stopped completing anything useful, so the Ford ended every short hop in limp mode. They put that right and proved it. Hills are easy again and the warning is dark. Well chuffed.
