As a woman I have generally felt intimidated when dealing with garages. Lockwood and Greenwood treat me as a valued customer and are helpful and respectful.

I did research and found L & G had something like 3436 positive feedback's via the Good Garage Scheme whereas other garages had something like 200 positive feedback's. I then emailed L & G to get a price for service and MOT, they responded within 24 hours (my main dealer takes 3 days or more) and answered my questions clearly and in full. So I booked in for an MOT and service by email with a courtesy car. I had to reschedule my booking at the last minute so called them and spoke to the very friendly Dave. He re-booked my car without any hassle and then discussed an issue I had with my car at length and made recommendations on fixes to request my main dealer to look at (the car was having unsatisfactory work by the main dealer redone). On the day I dropped my car off, I also collected a nice Nissan Micra courtesy car. When my car was ready I collected it and found they had charged me £40 less than had been quoted. I asked why the bill was less than the quote and Dave explained a number of items had been checked and were not needing to be replaced hence the lower price. Yes, an honest garage that doesn't want to replace items that are perfectly fine. Also they had tightened my handbrake cable and not charged me for this either. So in all very happy with L & G and glad to have found a customer focused, friendly honest garage. In future all repairs/ service for my car will be done by L & G unless its something they tell me is main dealer only. Highly recommended!
