My XJ6 had a large knocking noise from the engine. My local garage said that a "big end" had failed and that I would need a replacement engine. I took it to J-Cat who advised me not to drive it. On investigation they found that the crankshaft pulley bolt was missing. This was replaced and she purrs again. The bill was so reasonable too- well done J-Cat!
I would describe the principals (Mark and Kevin) as fair , honest, reliable and helpful.

My engine malfunction light came on and I assumed the worst! I called them up and they fitted me in that lunch time. Quick diagnostic said all sorts of errors, opened the bonnet and under the engine bay an air hose had broken, it was replaced and all sorted! I am sure many other garages would have charged a fortune and replaced all sorts of parts which were not needed. As usual another great job, at a good price, superb.
