My trusted VW Golf had 238k+ miles on it, and Eric has took personal pride and joy in keeping it on the road during the last 2-3 years. He also offered unbiased advice right to the end, where a £500 repair would have probably fixed the car but he pointed out that it was more than the car was worth, and given the age and condition of the car with the MOT due in August, it may not be the wisest investment. Instead, he did a £50 fix in the hope that it would work, and it indeed did for a few weeks giving us time to find another car. Eric also services all the other cars in our family, and I cannot imagine going to anyone else now.
