AVC beat two other quotes by a long way for an expensive repair. Not vital but was there a courtesy car? Not offered. GGS website a bit flaky.

My alternator failed on a Friday night at the start of January, just as I was starting a long journey home from Gatwick airport. Darren sourced and fitted a new alternator early the next morning at a very reasonable price.
I had spent about 2 days trying to track down the electrical fault with my car, until a local garage recommended AVC to me. Before I had time to get home, they had found the problem and managed to get the car started. I would use these again without hesitation, cannot recommend highly enough!

Many thanks to Darren Cotton. My car developed a fault, I took it to his garage on Saturday morning and he gave me his immediate attention. He carried out some initial checks immediately to determine whether he could repair it quickly. He found that he could and did so there and then.
