I was referred to this garage by my breakdown company. They were pleasant on the whole, although the work took 16 days from delivery of my vehicle. The timing chain needed replacing, and whilst I appreciate this is a big job, it should not take the best part of 3 weeks. I had to phone about 6 times in total to check up on the work and each time was told it was being looked at as we speak and would be ready in a couple of days. Nobody called so I then had to call again to be told the same thing. The reasons given were that a part had to be ordered, and then that the engine has to be removed. I understand these are time-consuming, but again, not to the extent of 3 weeks. A receptionist told my partner there had been a few 'hiccups' but wouldn't elaborate and this was never conveyed to me by anyone else at the garage. I was given a courtesy car for the duration, but I don't feel that should be a reason for taking so long with my own vehicle. I was really disappointed after having had this garage highly recommended, to have gone through 3 quite stressful weeks wondering if there was something untoward going on that I wasn't being told about.
