The exhaust blew over the weekend, so we'd booked the car in. However, the exhaust fell off completely before the scheduled day. The car was recovered to Downes and they said they'd try and fit it in that day (but wouldn't promise anything as they were very busy). Later that day, it was fixed and ready to go!

I had a leaky thermostat housing. They were very helpful in confirming the issue and quoting for the work. I took the opportunity to have the auxil belt changed at the same time. They fitted me in the next working day, quick turn around and good value. Would use again and would recommend to others.

I recently used Downes Autos for an MOT and was impressed with the quality of service, so when another family car had problems I asked them to have a look and give me a quotation. It was making a funny noise and sounded expensive(!). I was very surprised to find out at the end of the day that it was fixed for £30! I feel really re-assured that this company are honest and feel confident that they would not try and deceive you in anyway. Thoroughly recommended and will definitely use again.
