I have had bad experiences at other garages where the MOT is used to generate business by intentionally damaging MOT critical components during the MOT to create a MOT failure and then charging for the repair of that damage. I have noticed a pattern in such garages: the MOT cost is reduced, the MOT area is located furthest from the waiting area, it is badly lit, & another car may be parked in front of the MOT area, ie you cannot observe the MOT. At Harrow Service Centre the MOT area is well lit & I was able to closely observe the MOT. This should be industry standard.
