I wanted an oil and filter change for my ten-year old Audi with 113k on the clock. I took it to a chain garage, but they refused to do the oil and filter change because they were concerned by the amount of oil leaks from various parts of the engine - they suggested I go to a real' garage to get the engine looked at. I took it to Farncombe Service Station (I went there five months ago for a major service and I was impressed), and the guys there took various parts off to have a close look for leaks. They called me at work shortly afterwards to say that there were several small oil leaks, but nothing to worry about for a car of this age and mileage. After this reassurance, they topped up the oil, and suggested that I check levels weekly or two-weekly to check. Brilliant - and they only charged me half an hour labour and the cost of the oil. I plan to do my major service there when that is due.
