Dear Sir, I have enclosed the Good Garage Scheme satisfaction questionnaire with this letter. In this day of people having complaints and dissatisfaction with goods and services, I feel I had to write to you along with the completed questionnaire. On Monday 23rd October, I contacted Winkton Garage regarding my Kia Rio car. For some weeks, I had been experiencing noise coming from the road surfaces. It changed when the tyres went over different road surfaces so I thought this was the cause of the noise. However, on a return journey from Bristol on Sunday the 22nd October, the noise worsened. I checked for exhaust problems but could find none. I phoned Winkton Garage at 2.30PM on the Monday 23/10. I have been using this garage for some years now. The garage assistant asked if I could take the car up in the next half of hour. I did this and the cause of the noise was quickly detected - a defective wheel bearing on the back rearside wheel. Expecting to book an appointment for the repair, the owner said he would be able to repair the bearing in the next hour or so. I got the car back repaired at 4.30PM. I doubt one would get the NHS to beat that. Yours sincerely, Eric Ramage

I have used Winkton Autocentre before for many repairs to various vehicles. Always the same cheerful approach to my booking, flexibility to repair dates, updates during repair, and the car returned on time with a competitive bill for the work carried out. I can depend on the guys at Winkton to do a fair job and not try to rip me or my family off by doing unnecessary work. Certainly a five star garage as far as I am concerned, and I am more than happy to recommend them to anyone else.
